England Formation, Tevez & Soccernet

In my opinion this is how England should line-up against Equador. Rooney should be holding the ball up for Lampard and Gerrard to make forward runs. Joe Cole should be given a free role, while Beckham is told to stay further back and play long passes for Lampard, Gerrard and Rooney. Hargreaves should be told just to anchor the midfield and protect the defence. Ashley Cole should be making forward runs past Joe Cole. Someone should be looking for Ashley Cole as an outlet. The other 3 defenders should stay back and concentrate on defending. This system would also work if you brought Lennon on with this pace. Also Carrick can play in the anchor position too. Anyhow it's all academic as Sven will probably stick with Crouch and Rooney which is a totally useless partnership.

Tevez was man of the match in Argentina's 0-0 draw with Holland yesterday. Also Ivory Coast came from behind with 10 men to win 3-2 against Serbia and Montenegro (interestingly Soccernet had the score 3-2 in favour of Serbia... hhmmm).
