According to Madrid's favourite sports paper, Marca, Reyes is on the verge of a move to Real Madrid. Here's the quote they have regarding Jose's feelings about the possible move:

"I miss Spain and I have a unique opportunity to return with what Real are offering. Everyone has to understand I can't let this chance slip away. Real Madrid are unique. I don't know what is happening but I am a little unsettled by all the rumours."

If Arsenal do sell what would this mean for the team? Surely we'd need to get something like the £20m we paid for him. Also if we sell Cole for £25m and Reyes for £15m - £20m that would leave us with a huge amount of cash to invest in the squad.

If Reyes goes I'll be really concerned about a lack of depth in the wide midfield positions and also in the attack. Reyes is a good wide left forward and I don't think we have a player in the squad to replace him.
