Good enough for Arsenal, more than good enough for England
ESPNsoccernet : Wenger 'annoyed and worried' by Prem fixtures
Ok so Wenger is moaning about fixture congestion again, who can blame him!? More interesting though were his comments about Theo Walcotts inclusion in the England squad for the World Cup:
"When you are good enough to go to Arsenal, you are good enough to play in the England team, because there are many players who play for England who would not play at Arsenal."So here a few examples of players good enough for the current England team who would never get in the Arsenal team:
Peter Crouch
Michael Dawson
Ashley Cole (hahaha!)
Stuart Downing
Jermaine Defoe
An interesting point though. Is club football better than international football? I think the answer is yes and know. The best club teams are better than the best international teams. An average international side could probably beat an average club side though thanks to the pride that comes with playing for your country. Personally I'd prefer to watch Arsenal than watch any other team international or club, even Brazil! ;-)
