Guarani 1x1 Palmeiras - Manager Arrested

Yet again Brazilian football has been overshadowed by violence. Current Palmeiras manager and former Brazil goalie Emerson Leão was led away by 5 policemen at the end of yesterday's 1x1 draw with Guarani. During the half-time break Leão was involved in a scuffle with reporter José Henrique Semedo (reporters will always interview players and managers during the half-time break in Brazil). Leão has claimed he was an innocent victim in the incident and was led away to the local Campinas police station along with the reporter.
It'll be interesting to see what comes of this incident. The way the Brazilian media invade the pitch to get interviews during and after the game is pretty shocking. Also the police have a reputation for siding with the home team in these kinds of incidents.

In the night's other games Corinthians were looking to overcome their bogie team São Caetano. After leading 1x0 at half time Corinthians blew it and lost 2 x 1 to continue their terrible record against the minnows from São Caetano.
